At Nest Studio, we are a registered NDIS provider. Our programs are designed to help participants grow through music, sound, and creativity. Our NDIS funding provision is classified under Innovative Community Participation (0116), however, NDIS participants can still be funded for our services if their goals align with any of the following:

Developing skills and independence
Building confidence and community connections
Exploring creative or professional pathways
Increasing capacity for participation in the community
Social and community participation programs

We aim to provide meaningful, enjoyable, and practical opportunities for people of all ages and abilities to learn, create, and connect.

Why We're Passionate About What We Do

Nest Studio is led by Tarun Zachariah, an experienced audio engineer with over 10 years in the music and audio industry, including work in recording studios, live sound, and lecturing audio engineering at JMC Academy in South Melbourne.

Over the years, we’ve seen how music and sound can transform lives — from helping someone record their very first song to supporting another participant gain the confidence to perform live. Our passion lies in creating a safe and supportive space where participants can discover new skills, express themselves, and work towards their goals, no matter how big or small.

NDIS Funded Group & Individual Activities

We provide a range of fun, interactive, and goal-focused activities tailored to participant needs. These sessions are designed to encourage creativity, build new skills, and provide opportunities to connect with others.

Activities may include:

Music-based workshops and collaborative group sessions
Learning and improving instrumental, vocal, or production skills
Exploring speech, sound, and creative expression in new ways
Pushing yourself to try something you’ve always dreamed of, like recording your own track or performing in front of others

Sessions are available in-studio at Wheelers Hill, with additional options for online learning or community-based programs.

NDIS Individual Projects

For participants ready to dive deeper, we support individual projects where creativity and goals meet in a personalised way. Whether you are:

A musical artist wanting to record original music
A budding producer or audio engineer seeking to develop your skills
Interested in starting or growing your own podcast

We can help bring your vision to life. Our programs focus on building knowledge, confidence, and technical skills, while giving you the opportunity to create something unique — from your first recording to a professional-quality project. Age or disability is never a barrier to creativity at Nest Studio.

NDIS Provider Collaborations

We also collaborate with other NDIS providers, support coordinators, and allied professionals to deliver tailored programs.

Partnership opportunities include:

Co-developing music and audio-based activities for participants in your care
Providing audio recording and processing support for projects
Assisting with sound integration into home automation systems where audio and accessibility overlap
